It takes me approximately 3 weeks<\/strong> to complete a commission. However, this may vary depending on the complexity of the piece (background, number of animals, size, etc.), any changes requested during the sketch stage, and my workload or availability.<\/p>

It is therefore important to allow at least 4 to 5 weeks<\/strong> before your desired delivery date. I do my best to complete portraits within the requested timeframe (if realistic), but I cannot be held responsible for shipping times<\/a> and cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date<\/strong>.<\/p>

For the Christmas period<\/strong>, I strongly recommend contacting me as early as possible in the year<\/strong> to ensure your portrait arrives on time. 1 – Contact me<\/strong> through the contact form<\/a> or directly by email at hello[a]delphinedion.com<\/strong> to talk about your project and\/or ask me for information. You can already send me pictures of the animal(s). I will answer you as quickly as possible.<\/p>

2 –<\/strong> I will communicate you a precise quote<\/strong> once I know the details of your request.<\/p>

3 –<\/strong> I ask for the full payment<\/strong> or a down payment<\/strong> of 50% of the amount (for 100\u20ac and more) before starting anything. 4 – Sketch :<\/b><\/p>

– first quick thumbnail :<\/span> definition of the overall composition<\/strong> for commissions with at least two animals<\/strong>. Accuracy or resemblance to the animals is not important at this stage!<\/p>

You can ask me all the changes<\/strong> you want at this stage : the pose, the composition, the portrait orientation (“landscape” or “portrait” orientation), etc. I can create several thumbnails depending on my inspiration and your requests (as far as is reasonable of course, I won’t create numerous thumbnails !).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

5 – <\/strong>Once the sketch is approved, I begin the watercolor. 6 – <\/strong>After you approve the final artwork<\/strong> and complete the payment<\/strong> (if paying in installments), I will ship the painting with signature required upon delivery<\/strong>. The illustration is protected in a glassine paper sleeve<\/strong> to prevent moisture during transport, reinforced with a cardboard sheet, and placed inside a cardboard envelope. I will provide you with the tracking number<\/strong> upon shipment.<\/p>

I am not responsible for delivery times<\/strong>, which may vary depending on your country, the time of year, etc. Delivery times for mainland France are 3 to 5 days, and for international destinations approximately 2\u20133 weeks.
