Pet portrait or wild animal painting commission
I create original watercolor paintings on 300 g/m², 100% cotton, vegan paper (gelatin-free sizing). I use extra-fine watercolor paint, of professional quality, which ensures excellent long-term pigment preservation.
By commissioning a portrait of your faithful companion or a painting of your favorite wild animal, you can be sure that it has been entirely handmade by me ! I take great care in working on each commission, and every piece requires several hours of work. I remain attentive to your wishes throughout the entire creative process.
I do not frame the painting, but I advise you to frame the artwork (yourself or by a professional) using a mat. This will provide a more refined presentation as well as better preservation of the painting, by preventing the pigments from coming into direct contact with the glass. It is strongly advised not to expose the finished artwork to direct sunlight.

- Pictures I need
I need at least one good-quality photo of your animal to work from. I no longer create poses for which you do not provide a reference photo.
Ideally, multiple photos from different angles are welcome, especially if your animal has markings, spots, or other distinctive features, so I can get a complete view.
For wild animals, you do not need to provide photos, unless you want me to depict a specific individual or a precise pose.
- Background
The background is a watercolor wash, either single-colored or multicolored, covering part of the paper. I usually work with the diffusion of pigments on wet paper for a soft effect, and I add a few watercolor splatters.
If you don’t have a specific idea for the color(s), I can guide you.
Without a background, the animal is depicted on a white background, with optional watercolor splatters of the color of your choice or harmonizing with the animal.
